Before mounting hardware, our senior engineers deploy calibrated handheld spectrum analyzers to map background noise in the WPC 865–867 MHz frequency band, measure multi-path reflection angles, and calculate exact dBm power floors to eliminate false reads.
3. Low-Loss Coaxial Cabling & GPIO Trigger Integration
Signal loss in RF cables degrades tag read sensitivity. We utilize exclusively high-grade, double-shielded low-loss coaxial cables (LMR-400 and LMR-240) terminated with weather-sealed N-type connectors. We also integrate optical photocell sensors, light-curtain triggers, and audible light-stacks into fixed reader GPIO ports to automate portal activation only when pallets or cartons enter the read zone.
4. Commissioning, RSSI Power Tuning & Cross-Lane Isolation
In facilities with multiple adjacent loading bays (e.g. 10 dock doors side-by-side), untuned RF readers bleed into neighboring lanes. Our commissioning engineers calibrate antenna tilt angles (15° to 30° inward), set precise RSSI threshold filters in middleware, and tune transmitter power between +27 dBm and +30 dBm to ensure 100% inter-dock isolation.
