Description
The UHF RFID Heavy-Duty Rubber Tyre Patch Tag (Vulcanized High-Temp) (Model: TYRE-VULC-865) is an ultra-rugged, vulcanization-grade RAIN RFID transponder engineered specifically for commercial fleet tyre lifecycle management, retread tracking, bus and truck CPKM (Cost Per Kilometer) optimization, and mining vehicle tyre monitoring. Designed to be permanently vulcanized into the inner tyre wall during manufacturing or cold-bonded onto cured tyre casings, it withstands the extreme mechanical flexing, centrifugal forces, high pressures, and chemical environments of heavy-duty transportation.
1. High-Temperature Vulcanization Bonding & RF Physics
Powered by the high-sensitivity Alien Higgs-9 / Impinj Monza series silicon IC, the tag operates across 860 MHz to 960 MHz (optimized for Indian WPC 865–867 MHz). It features a flexible spring-wire dipole antenna embedded inside an unvulcanized natural rubber patch. During the retreading or manufacturing process, the rubber patch undergoes thermal vulcanization at temperatures up to 200°C for 30 minutes at 15–20 bar pressure, becoming an integral, inseparable part of the tyre structure.
2. Long-Range Fleet Gate Scanning & CPKM Tyre Tracking
The tag provides a read distance of up to 4.0 to 8.0 meters, enabling automated drive-through depot gate portals to scan all 10 to 18 tyres on a commercial multi-axle truck as it enters the terminal at 15 km/h. When integrated with handheld tread-depth probes and enterprise fleet software, it eliminates tyre theft, monitors casing retread counts, and optimizes fleet fuel efficiency.
