Description

The UHF Fixed Reader Antenna and Circular Polarized Panel (Model: PRD_HW_ANTENNA) is an enterprise-grade, high-gain RAIN RFID panel antenna engineered for industrial warehouse dock-door portals, automated conveyor tunnels, parking boom gates, livestock tracking, and manufacturing assembly lines. Delivering a powerful 9.0 dBi / 12.0 dBi antenna gain with Right-Hand Circular Polarization (RHCP), this antenna ensures 100% omnidirectional tag readability regardless of tag orientation across broad interrogation zones.

1. High-Gain Circular Polarization & Beam Angle Physics

Operating across the global UHF frequency band (860 MHz to 960 MHz, tuned specifically for Indian WPC 865–867 MHz), the antenna features a low voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR $le 1.3:1$) and an axial ratio under 2.0 dB. Its circular polarized electromagnetic beam eliminates tag dead zones, delivering an exceptional read range of up to 12.0 to 18.0 meters when paired with fixed readers (such as Impinj R700 or Zebra FX9600).

2. Heavy-Duty IP67 All-Weather Radome & Versatile Mounting

Enclosed in an IP67 waterproof and UV-stabilized heavy-duty polycarbonate/ABS radome with an aluminum backplate, it withstands extreme outdoor weathering, heavy monsoon rains, dust storms, and temperatures from -40°C to +70°C. It features a standard N-Type Female connector and is supplied with a heavy-duty stainless-steel articulating pole/wall mount bracket.

Questions

Why is circular polarization preferred over linear polarization for warehouse dock doors?
Linear polarized antennas only read tags whose internal coils align precisely with the antenna plane. Circular polarized antennas rotate the electromagnetic field continuously, reading tags at any angle (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) on moving pallets with 99.9%+ capture rates.
What is the maximum read distance when connecting this antenna to an Impinj or Zebra reader?
When paired with an enterprise fixed reader delivering +30 dBm output power, the 9 dBi antenna achieves reliable read ranges of 10.0 to 14.0 meters, while the 12 dBi panel achieves up to 18.0+ meters.
Can this antenna be installed outdoors exposed to direct monsoon rain and sun?
Yes. The antenna features an IP67 waterproof, UV-stabilized radome and corrosion-resistant aluminum backplate, engineered for continuous outdoor operation in extreme temperatures (-40°C to +70°C).
What is the HSN Code and GST rate for RFID antennas in India?
RFID antennas are classified under HSN Code 85177090 with an 18% GST rate. RFID Softwares provides low-loss RG58/LMR-400 coaxial cables and full GST tax invoices across India.
What mounting accessories are included with the antenna?
Every antenna includes a heavy-duty stainless-steel articulating mounting bracket and U-bolts for easy angle adjustment on standard 1.5" to 3" diameter poles or flat concrete walls.
