Description
The NXP ICODE SLIX Library RFID Wet Inlay 40x25mm (Model: ICODESlix-13722) is the global benchmark contactless label engineered specifically for automated library management, document archives, and legal file tracking. Powered by the authentic NXP ICODE SLIX (SL2S2002) integrated circuit, this inlay adheres to the ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18000-3 Mode 1 vicinity standards, enabling high-speed shelf scanning and reliable long-range book detection through 3D library security portal gates up to 1.5 meters wide.
1. Vicinity Protocol & Library Data Model Standards
Operating at 13.56 MHz HF, the ICODE SLIX chip features 1,024 bits of total EEPROM memory, offering 896 bits (28 blocks of 32 bits) of user memory structured to support the international ISO 28560 RFID standard for libraries. The chip includes a factory-locked 64-bit Unique Identifier (UID), dedicated Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) anti-theft security bits, and an Application Family Identifier (AFI) register (pre-set to 0xC2 for library circulation). It is 100% plug-and-play compatible with Koha ILS, 3M SIP2 protocol gateways (Port 6001), and RFID self-checkout kiosks.
2. High-Speed Shelf Audits & Archival-Grade Adhesive
The rectangular 40 mm × 25 mm footprint features an optimized multi-turn etched antenna that provides strong omnidirectional coupling when affixed inside book covers or file folders. It allows librarians to perform rapid walking shelf audits capturing over 700 books per minute using handheld RFID sweep wands. Coated with an acid-free, non-destructive permanent acrylic adhesive, the inlays protect delicate historical book spines while ensuring 50-year data retention.
