Description

The Dual-Frequency EAS + Impinj Monza R6-P RFID Retail Hard Tag 70x25mm (Model: EAS-UHF-7025) is an enterprise retail security and inventory management tag that combines Acoustic Magnetic (AM 58 kHz) or Radio Frequency (RF 8.2 MHz) anti-theft Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) with high-performance RAIN UHF RFID (865–867 MHz / 902–928 MHz). Powered by the Impinj Monza R6-P silicon IC, this reusable hard tag provides loss-prevention anti-theft alarming at store exit gates while simultaneously delivering item-level inventory visibility across retail stockrooms and sales floors.

1. Dual-Frequency Protection & Impinj Monza R6-P Architecture

Inside its rugged ABS polymer shell, the tag houses two independent resonating elements: a precision 58 kHz AM acoustic magnetic resonator (or 8.2 MHz RF coil) for exit pedestal security gate alarming, and an Impinj Monza R6-P RAIN RFID IC equipped with AutoTune™ dynamic self-tuning technology. The Monza R6-P chip provides -22.1 dBm read sensitivity, 128-bit EPC memory, and 96-bit serialized TID, delivering an outstanding read range of 6.0 to 10.0 meters on handheld audit wands and overhead portals.

2. Rugged Reusable Casing with Magnetic Detacher Mechanism

Constructed from high-impact ABS plastic, the tag is attached to garments, footwear, and handbags using a grooved stainless-steel lanyard pin. At checkout, cashiers remove the hard tag in under 2 seconds using a standard high-strength magnetic detacher (9,000 to 12,000 Gauss), allowing the tag to be reused thousands of times. Conforming to EPCglobal Gen2v2 and Auburn ARC Category F & I, it eliminates shoplifting shrink by up to 99% while elevating inventory accuracy to 99.5%.

Questions

How does a dual-frequency EAS + RFID hard tag work in a fashion retail showroom?
The tag combines two systems in one shell. The 58 kHz AM resonator interacts with exit security gate pedestals to sound an alarm if an unbilled item leaves the store. Simultaneously, the UHF RFID chip enables store associates to count thousands of garments in minutes using handheld wands, providing real-time inventory visibility.
How are these hard tags removed at the checkout cash counter?
At point-of-sale checkout, the cashier places the rounded magnetic clutch of the tag onto a 9,000–12,000 Gauss magnetic detacher, which releases the steel pin in under 2 seconds. The tag is retained at the counter for reuse on new incoming stock.
Can this hard tag be used on luxury leather bags and designer footwear?
Yes. For luxury leather goods or shoes where puncturing fabric is undesirable, the grooved steel pin can be substituted with a coated steel wire lanyard that wraps around bag handles or shoe eyelets without causing damage.
What is the HSN Code and GST rate for dual EAS RFID hard tags in India?
Hard security tags are classified under HSN Code 8523 with an 18% GST rate. RFID Softwares supplies retail fashion brands and department stores across India with full GST invoicing.
How many times can these hard tags be reused?
Constructed from rugged industrial ABS plastic with stainless-steel locking clutches, these hard tags are designed for over 50,000 latching cycles, delivering a service lifespan of 5+ years of continuous retail operation.
