The UHF Ceiling RFID Reader for Overhead Asset Tracking (Model: PRD_HW_CEILING) is an integrated, flush-mount RAIN RFID portal reader engineered for modern retail fashion stores, hospital corridors, data center server rooms, and luxury showrooms requiring discrete, ceiling-mounted hands-free inventory visibility. Encased in an aesthetically discreet, low-profile white housing that mimics a standard Wi-Fi access point, this ceiling reader houses a multi-beam phased-array antenna and high-sensitivity UHF RFID reader that monitors floor-level assets continuously from heights up to 4.0 to 6.0 meters.

1. Overhead Spatial Coverage & Beam-Steering Physics

Operating across 860 MHz to 960 MHz (tuned for Indian WPC 865–867 MHz), the reader projects downward-directed, broad-aperture RF energy covering a floor interrogation zone of 30 to 50 square meters per reader. It tracks moving assets and personnel as they pass beneath, calculating 2D location coordinates and movement direction without requiring floor pedestals or obstructing customer walkways.

2. Seamless Power-over-Ethernet (PoE+) & Cloud IoT Integration

Powered via a single Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ (802.3at) cable, the unit requires no external power wiring or bulky controllers.
