Questions

Why do enterprise campuses need a dual UHF and Mifare reader/writer?
Modern university campuses and IT parks issue hybrid smart cards containing both an ultra-high frequency (UHF) inlay for hands-free vehicle parking boom barriers and an encrypted 13.56MHz Mifare chip for turnstiles, elevators, and cafeteria billing. This dual reader/writer allows administrators to encode both technologies at a single desk in one continuous workflow.
Does this reader program both UHF EPC memory and Mifare memory blocks?
Yes. It has complete read/write capability across both RF engines. You can write custom EPC data (such as asset serial numbers or GS1 SGTIN-96 barcodes) into UHF memory, and write encrypted identity records or purse balances into Mifare sectors.
What free software is provided for batch encoding dual-frequency tags?
We provide our proprietary Windows Dual-Band Encoder Suite free of charge. It features automated batch programming from Excel/CSV spreadsheets, automatic incremental serial encoding, and immediate SQL/API logging.
How does the UHF near-field antenna prevent accidental programming of adjacent tags?
The reader utilizes a near-field ceramic antenna with adjustable RF power (0 to +25 dBm) that restricts the UHF electromagnetic field to a controlled 5–30 cm bubble directly above the pad, eliminating accidental cross-reads of nearby tags or boxes.
Is this device WPC certified for 865–867 MHz operation in India?
Yes. The UHF radio transceiver is fully compliant with the Wireless Planning & Coordination (WPC) Wing of the Ministry of Communications, Government of India, operating strictly within the de-licensed 865.0 MHz to 867.0 MHz band.
