OpenRFID Simulator - Virtual RFID Reader & EPC Tag Emulator

Cross-platform RFID reader simulator for LLRP, TCP/IP, and Serial interfaces with bulk EPC Gen 2 tag inventory emulation.

Quick Start / Clone Repository

$git clone https://github.com/rfidsoftwares/openrfid-simulator.git GitHub

Project Overview

Production-grade open-source RFID simulator for testing enterprise RFID middleware, warehouse automation, and asset tracking software without physical RFID readers. Simulates LLRP (Low Level Reader Protocol), TCP socket, and Serial reader interfaces while generating high-throughput EPC Class 1 Gen 2 (ISO 18000-6C) RFID tag streams. Features adjustable RF signal strength (RSSI), antenna port switching, custom memory bank payloads (EPC, TID, User memory), and interactive Web GUI / CLI controls for automated unit and integration testing.

SDK Integration Code Snippet (Kotlin / Java)

// Initialize Chainway C72 UHF Reader Instance
val mReader = RFIDWithUHFUART.getInstance()
mReader.init()
// Set RF Output Power (5 dBm - 30 dBm)
mReader.setPower(30)
// Start High-Speed Bulk RFID Tag Inventory
mReader.startInventoryTag()
