As RFID Applications Engineering Co-op - Summer 2027 (plus one semester) at Avery Dennison, you will focus on RFID Readers & Firmware, directly supporting high-throughput supply chain tracking, automated item identification, and next-generation wireless IoT infrastructure.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities & Core Tasks
• With a concentrated blend of experiential on-the-job learning, a dynamic environment, access to business leaders, and a supportive team of co-workers, peers, and supervisors, the Internship Program will provide you the opportunity to sharpen your skills and collaborate on a number of strategic projects. We’re seeking an RFID Applications Engineer Co-Op to join our business in North America during the summer. You will be responsible for providing support for product engineers working on the development of RFID tags, printer systems, and RFID reader systems operating in the HF and UHF bands. You are expected to work in support of product development engineers. The work environment will be primarily an office or application lab. You will use various automated RFID test systems and RFID printer and reader systems. Work activities require an understanding of engineering disciplines and scientific processes sufficient to support testing, data collection, data organization, and reporting. Our co-op program serves as a talent pipeline for our Early Careers Program throughout the organization. • Working directly with engineers and influencing product development and customer use case decisions • Working as part of a technical team environment, with professionals trained on testing methods, critical thinking, data analysis and reporting in spreadsheets, and generating technical and customer-facing reports • Providing support for product engineers working on the development of RFID tags, printer systems, and RFID reader systems operating in the HF and UHF bands • Utilizing automated RFID test systems and RFID printer and reader systems to support testing, data collection, data organization, and reporting
