Project Overview: IT Asset Handovers & Support Overhead

An enterprise IT corporation located in a prominent New Delhi IT Park was experiencing high administrative overhead and lost devices during employee laptop allocations, returns, and IT support swaps. IT engineers spent hours manually logging which device was given to which employee. The company required an automated, self-service smart locker system that would let employees collect and return laptops securely, logging every transaction automatically.

The Solution: IoT Locker Controller & Multi-Modal Access

RFID Softwares developed an IoT-enabled smart locker system. We installed modular electronic locker cabinets fitted with custom microcontrollers and electronic solenoid locks. At the locker bay, we integrated a tabletop reader panel. Employees can scan their existing corporate HF RFID badge, a dynamic QR code on their smartphone app, or enter a secure PIN on a touchscreen. The controller validates access rights, releases the lock, and logs the asset handover in the central database.

Software & Access Control Architecture

If an employee is remote, they can use the corporate web portal or mobile app to trigger an unlock command over secure APIs.
