Description
The RFID Waste Bin Worm / Plug Tag (DIN 30745, IP68 Waterproof) (Model: BIN-WORM-865) is an ultra-rugged, tamper-resistant municipal waste container transponder engineered specifically for smart city municipal solid waste tracking, automated wheelie bin tipping verification, commercial garbage billing, and recycling compliance. Designed in the standardized DIN 30745 cylindrical "worm / plug" shape (Ø30 mm × 15 mm), this tag presses or screws flush into the pre-molded chip nests of standard 120L, 240L, 660L, and 1100L waste containers.
1. Standardized DIN 30745 Form Factor & Industrial Encapsulation
Manufactured from high-impact polyamide nylon filled with solid epoxy resin sealing (IP68), the tag is completely impervious to liquids, leachate chemicals, motor oils, high-pressure steam cleaning, and severe mechanical impacts during truck lifter tipping. Powered by a high-sensitivity Impinj / Alien RAIN UHF (865–867 MHz) or LF 134.2 kHz FDX-B chip, it delivers a read range of up to 1.5 to 3.0 meters on truck-mounted lifter antennas.
2. Tamper-Proof One-Way Ratchet Press-Fit Mounting
The tag features circumferential barbed locking ribs that allow it to be driven into the container's chip nest using a rubber mallet or standard hex drive. Once seated, the barbed teeth bite into the plastic rim, preventing unauthorized removal or theft. Conforms to EN 14803 and DIN 30745 waste management standards.
